Drop in, drop out. Bring a laptop, enjoy the pool, help yourself to coffee — and spend the day surrounded by builders, founders, and people who give all the damns. No agenda. Just momentum.
🧒 What does kid friendly mean?
On dates marked as kid friendly, we’ll be joined by a friendly, cute, and energetic toddler — and dinner will be pizza. You are absolutely welcome to stay as long as you like, and you’re welcome to bring your own kids (don’t forget the swim suits). Just know it may get a little noisier, and we ask that everyone keep things kid friendly.
Parking
Please park on the road — our driveway is steep and narrow, and we’d love your car to leave in the same condition it arrived. Street parking is easy and just steps away.
Shoes
No outdoor shoes inside, please. Store them in the entryway closet. You’re warmly encouraged to bring indoor shoes or slippers — your feet will thank you.

Beverages
Help yourself to anything — we’ve stocked a range of options to keep you at your best. Ask if you’d like a quick tour of the coffee makers.
* Keurig and Nespresso in the guest suite may be reserved for overnight guests when they are present.
Find your spot. Whether you want total focus or good company, there’s a place for you here. Multiple whiteboards are available throughout the house — please use them freely, and let us know if you need more.
We’ve Got You Covered
All 7 bathrooms are stocked with incidentals — especially handy if you end up deciding to take a swim after you arrive! Take what you need, and let us know if something runs low.
Can’t find something? Just ask — we want you comfortable and looked after.
Take a Dip 🏊
The pool is heated year-round and ready for you. Whether it’s a mid-day reset or the main event, dive in.
Towels are provided. Two guest robes in the theatre/gym bathroom; two more in the guest suite.
Planning Your Visit
Please let us know when you’re planning to come — we want to make sure the house is ready and welcoming for your arrival. A quick heads-up goes a long way.
The Front Door
The front door auto-locks on close, so if you’ll be going in and out throughout your visit, just let us know and we can open the garage for easier coming and going.
Good Neighbours
We take pride in being great neighbours, and we ask you to help us keep it that way. Please be mindful of noise in the evenings and anything that could affect those around us — their enjoyment of their home matters too.
Smoke-Free Space
Finch Hill is completely smoke-free. Please no smoking of any kind — including vaping — in or around the residence. We appreciate your understanding.
Equipment
Need a monitor, laptop stand, extension cord, or adaptor? We almost certainly have it. Ask on arrival or let us know ahead of time and we’ll have it set up and waiting for you. Multiple whiteboards are available throughout the house — use them freely, and ask if you need more.
Dishes
Please place used dishes in a dishwasher — there are two on the main floor (one in each kitchen), and one will always be available. It’s a small thing that keeps the space great for everyone.

Snacks & Meals
We’ll put snacks out when we have them — help yourself. And if you need more, the Uber Eats selection that delivers here is excellent.
If you’re visiting around breakfast, lunch, or dinner time and let us know in advance, we’ll often coordinate a group meal. Just say the word.

The Guest Suite
Our guest suite is available to the Finch Hill community as a space to enable growth, productivity, and forward momentum. If you’d like to stay, just reach out and we’ll let you know if it’s available.
A note on access: when we’re not at Finch Hill, the suite is the only area available to guests — the rest of the residence will be closed. When we’re home, you’re welcome to enjoy the full space.
Overnight guests also have access to the Keurig and Nespresso in the suite, and two guest robes.
Pets & Children
We don’t have pets at Finch Hill, and we ask that you don’t bring animals without chatting with us first.
We do have a child here part-time. We’ll always let you know in advance if a little one will be on-site during your visit, and ask that you talk to us before bringing children along. We do host family- and child-friendly gatherings from time to time — those will be clearly communicated.
This is her home first and foremost. We welcome you warmly into it, and ask that you honour that.
Please, No Gifts
Truly — we don’t expect gifts and we don’t want you to bring any. Your presence is the gift. Go do cool things in the world; that’s all we ask.
For those who insist regardless, we’d ask you to skip the alcohol and chocolate. If you absolutely must arrive with something in hand, here are things that would genuinely make us smile:
Our Neighbours (the Wild Ones)
We’ve made friends with the crows here — they’re regulars and they have personalities. We’ve also had the occasional bear visit (ask us to show you the video; it’s genuinely adorable).
We respect nature and ask that you do too. Observe, appreciate, and leave it undisturbed.
Chip In for the Spread
Some folks have asked how they can chip in for dinners and the snack spread. You truly don’t need to — but if it would make you smile, here’s where you can do that.
